Santé Problems and Solutions

Santé running in XP

(There are no known problems running in prior versions in Windows.)

Problem: Data appears corrupted. Error messages about lost data. Engine error.

Solution: Utilities/Delete Data/Delete Meal Days
Delete way early so that you are not actually deleting your data (set date early).
This will force a rebuild of all the user data.

Technical: The data resides in the c:\sante directory by default.
The data is formatted for Borland Data Engine (Program Files/Borland/BDE). The program was written in Borland's Delphi.

Problem: The Meals box does not fully open. I have to manually size it each time.

Solution: Start, Control Panel, Display, Appearance, Item: Active Title Bar, Set size to 20 or less.

Solution 2: Place the system in the classic display mode. To do this: Start, Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance, Adjust Visual Effects, select Best Performance.
To reverse this: Start, Control Panel, Display, Appearance, Windows and Buttons, select Windows XP style.
